Arriving from 4th September 2024, we’re thrilled to announce that the BridgeU student experience is having its biggest transformation yet! 🎉
Rebuilt and redesigned with the student in mind, and with a more modern look and feel, it will provide a new way for your students to find their ideal university on BridgeU!
What will happen to the students' current activity progress? What are the major changes I need to be aware of?
- We know how busy you and your students are and with that in mind, we strive for a user-friendly experience with minimum impact to your students. Any activity that your students have completed so far, such as their Shortlist and Application lists or taking the AchieveWorks® Assessments will still be accessible when the new student experience is launched.
- Prepare for this change: There will be features you are familiar with from the current student experience that will arrive at a later stage. As a result, you may wish to encourage your students to save some of their progress outside of BridgeU in the interim. For example, the new student experience will not have the same Careers or Strategy Advisor features initially. Please get in touch if you require more detailed information about this.
In the meantime, to help you prepare for this transition, we're sharing with you an overview of the upcoming changes and developments - you can find these in the Community article HERE.
Are there any changes to the BridgeU advisor platform?
We’re so excited for BridgeU schools to gain access to the new student platform. To help schools with continuity and ensure a smooth student transition, we will not be making significant changes to the advisor experience at this time.
Read further down to find out what’s changing and what exciting developments are coming in the months ahead.
How can I view the new student experience?
As a counsellor, or any other member of staff with access to the school's BridgeU account, you can view the new student experience by creating a test student account. The new student experience is currently at a beta phase, and only selected schools can view this upcoming development. However, you can access new help articles to get an overview of the new student experience and what will be available.
Please note: the View as a student functionality through your advisor account does not yet show the student experience. This means there will be a temporary discrepancy between your view of a student account and your students' view of their account. The functionality of giving you the same view of your student accounts as a student is a planned future update. The feature release overview on the BridgeU Community article provides details on this.
When will students be able to access the new BridgeU student guidance platform?
All BridgeU students will have access to the new student experience from week commencing 2nd September onwards.
How will students access the new guidance platform?
There is no change to the main URL so it’s super easy to access and your students will be able to log in as per usual.
Will there be any supporting resources for using the new student platform?
Absolutely! In Autumn/Fall, we’ll be releasing resources and Help Center articles for your students to navigate through the new student experience. As an advisor, you’ll be able to find these on the BridgeU Community. You and your students can also use the Help Center.
What do I do if my students experience difficulties with the new guidance platform?
We are confident that your students will have a user-friendly and intuitive experience but of course, the team at BridgeU is available to help with any questions you may have. Don’t hesitate to reach out via email at hi@bridge-u.com or via the Live Chat.
Can we revert back to the old BridgeU student platform?
The new BridgeU student guidance platform provides a significantly upgraded user experience and technical approach, and is intended to replace the current version. Once your school transitions to the new platform, your students are expected to start and continue to use the new platform.
Will there be any training sessions for advisors?
Absolutely! All resources and training materials will be available on the BridgeU Community.
I have feedback to share about the new platform
We’d love to have your feedback, from both yourselves and your students, so please don’t hesitate to share it with us! Depending on the preferred method, you can send us an email at hi@bridge-u.com, or send us a message via the Live Chat.
